Okay, here we go. I have been using Quicken for several years now. I have the 2005 basic version and utilize the scheduled transaction feature. About a month ago for no apparent reason regular checkbook entries are appearing to the scheduled transactions list all on their own.
These appear over and over and over again repeatedly. Some of them are in there now 20x. The date field shows 'none', the amount field shows '0' the action shows 'automatic'. None of these transactions can be deleted. When I hi light them and click on delete, I get a red x and could not delete item response. These are growing daily. I Never scheduled them.they are interfering with actual scheduled transactions in that they are getting hard to find due to so many entires I never entered.Help please!
Ibidmup, I don't think I can help with that, but I might have a suggestion., but seen as how your version of Quicken is pretty old, you might want to go to the Chase bank page and find the application for a Quicken credit card. If you can't find it there a phone call should do it. When you get it after you make your 1st purchase of any size they will send you an email for a free upgrade to 2009. I made a $2.00 purchase at McDonald's got my email downloaded it and got a 2009 version of Quicken deluxe which btw is pretty nice. After I got my bill, I paid it and then immediately canceled the card as I already have a Chase card.
Re: v.4.4.1 Select the next scheduled transaction, control click delete transaction, choose delete this series of scheduled transactions. All future payments will be deleted. May 7, 2017 - In order to change the account that your Scheduled Transactions post to, you will first want to navigate to the list of Scheduled Transactions.
It was no problem or hassle. A new version may well solve your problem. Hi Floyd, I love your suggestion. I will definitely look into this for an upgrade. In the mean time I received this email from Quicken in response to my problem just in case anyone else out there has this problem: I would suggest that try to delete schedule transaction with the ctrl key.
Please perform the steps which are given below: 1. Open Quicken 2. Go to tools Bills and income reminder list. Click on all bills and Deposits.
You need to select schedule transaction which you would like to delete. Select the transaction. Hold down the ctrl key. Click on delete. The steps I provided will delete schedule transactions. If still you are unable to delete schedule transactions then I would suggest that validate data file because it might be due to data file corruption. Please perform the steps which are given below to validate data file: Hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys & without releasing them, perform the steps mentioned below: 1) Go to the 'File' menu 'File Operations' 'Validate'.
2) Select the data file. 3) This will start the 'Super Validation' process, which will remove the corruption from the copy file.
(Release the keys, when the 'Super Validation' process starts.) 4) Click OK, once 'Super Validation' is complete. 5) If you get a message that says Data losses were found, would you like to view the log now?, select No, and perform the Super Validation steps, till you get a message Super Validation is complete (maximum 3 times). 6) Please check if this data file is working as it should be. After that, try to delete schedule transactions. FYI - The first action using the control key and delete did not work, ahhhh.but the second one did work.
So far I have done it about 7 times and have not received the 'Super Validation is complete' message yet, but it has deleted all those entries all by itself without me having to manually do it. Wonderful information to pass along to others. Thank you so much!
